PLANET International Summer School on Artificial Intelligence Planning 2002

How to apply

The school is aimed at PhD students and young researchers in academia and industry. In order to ensure the success of the school it has been decided to restrict registrations. The registration process is in two parts.

Application

First, send an application form to sam@essex.ac.uk giving your reasons for wishing to attend the school (maximum 100 words) by Friday July 19, 2002.

No fees are payable at this stage.

Suitable applicants will be accepted "first come, first served".

You should be notified by email within a week; certainly not later than Wednesday July 24 2002.

Registration

After you are accepted, you will be sent a registration form. You should then send the registration form and the fee to the hotel.

You should register not later than Wednesday July 31, 2002. You will get the form in plenty of time to do that.

You will also be asked to supply travel details so that the school can try to arrange transportation for you from Macedonia airport. Please note that such arrangements cannot be guaranteed.

Fees

Accommodation and registration are both included in a single fee of 225 euros.

This fee covers 6 nights in single room, breakfasts and lunches, coffee breaks (5 days, 2 per day), a copy of the handouts, the official banquet and an excursion. It does not include travel to the site, nor does it include a daily dinner.

The fee is non-refundable.

Support

PLANET is supporting the summer school by a block grant that reduces all accommodation and registration fees considerably.

If the summer school has a surplus, the balance will be returned to participants after the summer school.

If money becomes available to support individual students further, that will be announced. No such announcement has been made yet.
