Introduction to Software Engineering






This module is intended to introduce the design and production of non-trivial computer programs. Just as a great deal of thought, design and preparation have to go into an engineering project (e.g. a bridge or skyscraper) before the building actually commences, so computer programs of any substantial size must be carefully planned and designed before the programming begins. Equally, once begun, a project to produce a large suite of software must be managed with skill and care.
